Hi! I’m Heather, a 26-year-old professional nanny based in Charlotte, NC, with several years of full-time experience caring for children of all ages, including multiples and children with special needs.
I’m CPR certified, Basic Life Support trained (renewal soon), and SIDS certified. The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is being a safe, steady space; not just for the children, but for the parents as well. Children thrive when they feel secure, understood, and unconditionally supported, and I take pride in being that calm, loving presence they can count on no matter where we are in the world. At the same time, I know how much trust it takes for parents to leave their children in someone else’s care. I work hard to build open, respectful relationships with the whole family, so everyone feels confident, comfortable, and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

I am an experienced travel nanny skilled in caring for children with a variety of special needs, including ADHD, autism, diabetes, seizures, severe allergies and G-tube feeding. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, managing medications, and providing compassionate, individualized support in any environment—whether at home or on the road. Calm, organized, and adaptable, I’m dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space where every child can thrive, even while traveling internationally or on short-term assignments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was during a playful morning routine when one of the parents was going through all the animal sounds with their toddler, “What does the cow say? What does the dog say?” The child answered each one with giggles and confidence. Then the parent asked, “What does Miss Heather say?” and without hesitation, completely unprompted, she looked up and said, “I love you.” It was such a pure and unexpected moment that reminded me how deeply connected and safe children feel when they’re truly loved and cared for.
