Relevant experience includes caring for newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children in both nanny and postpartum doula roles. I also have experience teaching in a preschool setting and hold an AS degree in Early Childhood Education, which strengthened my understanding of child development, learning through play, routines, and age-appropriate activities. I have experience managing daily routines, school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, nap schedules, playdates, educational activities, bedtime routines, and supporting children’s emotional and developmental needs. I enjoy engaging children in age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, learning, and independence. I also enjoy planning outings, playdates, and activities that support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth while making learning fun.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel supported, understood, and free to be themselves. I believe children thrive when they feel emotionally secure, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. It is also very important to me to build a strong partnership with parents through communication, trust, and mutual respect, where we can work together as a team and parents feel confident trusting my experience and judgment in caring for their children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for children with a variety of special needs and developmental differences, including developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fragile X syndrome, ADD/ADHD, speech delays, auditory processing challenges, anxiety, OCD, and social and emotional delays. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, structure, and individualized support, and I work closely with parents to help create a calm, supportive, and nurturing environment where children can feel safe, understood, and successful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a shy child I cared for slowly come out of their shell and gain confidence over time. After working together on social skills, encouragement, and building their confidence, I got to see them make a new friend on their own for the first time. Seeing the excitement and pride on their face in that moment was incredibly rewarding and reminded me how meaningful it is to support children emotionally as they grow.
