I have been a nanny for 15 years now. I have a double bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy. But I also love to be outside. I love to play. I love to teach. I also love to cook. Children are amazing. They're laughter is infectious. They like sponges. You can teach them almost anything. Some people don't like to go to work. I love to go to work.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to go outside. I love to teach them all the plants, flowers and trees. I love to just scavenge hunts. Bubbles. I love to go worm hunting. I love to see their faces when they see something new and teach them what it's about. I love being inside on a rainy day and cooking something yummy to eat with them right by my side. I love playing games and hide and go seek. All my jaws call me the windup toy. I believe and discipline but I love being a little kid with them. Life is what you make it unless should be fun
The most important part about being a nanny...
Most important partof being a nanny is making sure they are safe and happy! I love teaching them manners and respect. They have to learn consequences. And that life is fun but you also have to do the right thing. Most important part is making sure they're happy and that they're enjoying the time that you are spending with them and that they are happy and comfortable. Life is fun but we also have responsibilities and I teach them all of that.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many wonderful memories. I love watching a child learn and they're excitement when they get it right. One of my favorite moments is one of my little 3-year-old. He learned all the states and the capitals and we would sing it in the song and everyone could not believe that he could have learned that. But all it takes is practice and making fun of what you're doing
