The most important part about being a nanny is supporting the family as a whole. That is why I have never minded a little light house work, or grabbing something from the store on my way over. Each family is unique and I feel that it is absolutely important to honor and uphold the parenting ethics and parenting style chosen by the family
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked extensively with neuro-diverse children. Including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or children impacted by trauma. I specialized in early intervention in my undergrad and have personal experience as a mother of an autistic child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
How could I pick just one moment? Maybe it was the day me and my small friends built a huge s"ship" out of the couch cushions and sailed to distant lands until it was snack time. Or maybe it was an exploration walk we took in fall and gathered all the treasures we could find to make an autumn collage. There is also baking day! When we learned how to make naan and muffins. Or sensory day when we made our own playdough.
