"I am delighted to recommend Helen, who cared for our daughter from age 1-3.
Our daughter has developmental delays and we regularly had three different therapists over. Without exception, those professionals commented on how impressed they were with Helen. More than once, they told us Helen was the best nanny they had worked with. Helen was very engaged with our daughter and helped reinforce developmental goals.
Helen was incredibly warm, patient, and built a wonderful relationship with our daughter. We always felt confident that our daughter was not only safe and cared for, but actively thriving under their supervision.
Helen was also highly responsible, dependable, and professional. Any family would be fortunate to have Helen caring for their children. They are a dedicated professional, an exceptional caregiver, and a genuinely wonderful person. I recommend them without reservation and would be happy to speak further about our experience."

"Helen was remarkable with our children. They care for children with their entire being, and it shows.
Our two girls are 4 and 8, and they engaged perfectly with our strong willed kids. Helen is creative, "cool," and sets amazing boundaries with children. They speak to children in a way that is warm AND firm, which is a hard balance to strike.
During their time with us, Helen provided ongoing care both during the day for virtual school (in the spring) and nearly full time in the summer months. Their flexibility and skill at managing a variety of dates, camp pick ups/drop offs, travel, etc, was unmatched. They also drove our girls to and from camp quite a bit, and we trust Helen explicitly to do that.
If I asked our kids their favorite thing about Helen, they would probably say Helen's taste in music, willingness to do fun things, and the amazing grilled cheese and quesadillas that Helen makes. (In our house, Helen is a better cook than mama, which is fine by me!)."

"Helen was an amazing nanny for my family! I have three kids of varying ages-at the time, my oldest was 13, and thought she was WAY too cool for a nanny. Helen proved her wrong! Helen was excellent with my older children, taking all their thoughts and feelings seriously while also being a hide-and-seek champion. Helen was also amazing with my youngest, she was two at the time and Helen could get her down for a nap better than I could! I always felt secure knowing that Helen was with my kids."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started babysitting at 12, and have never really stopped. From the ages of 13-20, I was a teacher’s assistant for the summer arts camps at COCA in University City. The job gave me a lot of great child care experience with a wide range of ages and abilities.
From February of 2022-June of 2024, I worked as a part time in-home nanny for two wonderful, high energy toddlers, a position that helped build my flexibility and creativity as a caregiver.
And most recently, from June of 2024-May 2026, I worked as a full time in-home nanny for a sweet, hard-working toddler. She was pre-verbal during my time with her, so I got to learn some ASL to help with communication. I have ~1 year of experience with various AAC devices from this position as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to engage in play with kiddos! Make believe, sharing an item back and forth, organizing toys; whatever the child I’m working with likes, I like to do along with them (as long as they want a buddy, that is!) I also love exploring the outdoors, singing, cooking, dancing, and reading with children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, there are two 'most important' things. Setting kind, firm boundaries with children when necessary, and treating the children I'm working with like whole human beings. I take children's feelings, opinions, and preferences very seriously. I enjoy learning about their quirks and thought processes, and do my best to help teach them about how to investigate and work with their Big Emotions (if they're old enough for that sort of thing!).
My experience with special needs children...
I myself am neurodivergent (Autism Spectrum Disorder L1 and ADHD), so I have a very personal understanding of moving through the world with those neural ways of being.
At my most recent full time position [phone number hidden]), I worked with a toddler who was physically and developmentally disabled. I assisted and observed during her weekly OT, PT, and speech therapy, and helped her practice specific exercises/skills from therapy thought the week. I learned some ASL alongside the child I was caring for, to help expand her communication options. I also added in teaching her how to use an AAC device with LAMP software.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I’m sure this is a cliche answer, but I truly don’t think I could choose one specific, favorite moment. I’ve gotten to spend time with so many bright, kind, hilarious children and their families, and the wonderful moments are innumerable.
