A little bit about me

I’m a full time nanny looking for a new position. I’ve been doing this since I was 11 due to being the oldest of 9 kids. As well as being certified in First Aid/CPR, I’m also certified with American Red Cross in their Advanced Child Care course.

I love to create a consistent schedule, bringing in fun, educational and active activities. When weather permits, I love to spend most of my time outside, whether it be playing in the sandbox, going for a walk, exploring nature parks or the woods or just being in the backyard playing tag or catch. I also love planning weekly activities for certain days of the week that give the children something to look forward to, such as baking or painting or even occasional outings like going to the zoo or aquarium. I like to bring in positive reinforcement but will never stray from how you do things. I’ve found being calm, patient, understanding and validating their feelings while keeping boundaries brings the best experience for everyone.

One of my favorite memories is when the kids and I went outside a day after the storm. Branches were everywhere and the kids (3 &5) just started picking them up and putting them in a pile so that their dad didn’t have to. Kids are so sweet.
