When my niece was born, I moved in with my brother and sister-in-law full-time to help care for her. I was a senior in college, attending class online while watching her during the day and staying awake in the evening/nighttime with her to feed her and care for her to allow my brother and sister-in-law to sleep/rest. Prior to that, from the ages 16-19, I nannied for a single father of three (a 2 y/o girl, a 7 y/o girl, and a 13 y/o girl). My duties including staying overnight, getting them ready for bed and school the following morning. After I would finish school drop off, I would keep the 2 y/o with me throughout the day, cleaning the house, cooking meals, and allowing time for outdoor playing and fun outings. After I left for college, I would still return on weekends and holidays to babysit/nanny when needed.
