•Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties related to children's care.
•Instruct and assist children in the development of health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet behavior.
•Keep records of play, meal schedules, and bill payment.
•Teach and perform age-appropriate activities, such as lap play, reading, and arts and crafts to encourage intellectual development of children.
•Remove hazards and develop appropriate boundaries and rules to create a safe environment for children.

My grandma dedicated her time babysitting babies,toddlers, and teenagers. At the age of 9 I was already helping her take care some of the children. I would even get told that I had hands of an angel because when there was a baby crying alot I would carry them and they would fall asleep right away. I always liked playing with the kids and taking them with me to the park around the corner to get some fresh air once in a while . Eventually when I grew older at the age of 13 I dedicated more and more time helping my grandma babysit before I went to school and after. The kids that we babysat began looking up to me and began calling me sister even though we were not related, but I didn't mind they were like my own little family that I loved so much. Now that I grew and turned 19 I was 3 months pregnant when I had a miscarriage and it hurt me so bad because kids were my everything but I still continued to babysit because It was something I always loved and enjoed doing my whole time. When Im around kids my world changes they put a big cheesy smile on my face and it just warms my heart everytime.
