My experience with special needs children...

While I do not have extensive hands-on caregiving experience with special needs children, I have personal experience spending time in medical settings such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital due to my own medical condition. Being around children with a wide range of needs has helped me develop strong empathy, patience, and sensitivity. I always strive to be supportive, kind, and attentive, and to brighten each child’s day in ways that feel comfortable for them.

My favorite nanny moment is seeing a child feel safe, comforted, and confident enough to be themselves. Whether it’s helping my nephew calm down after a hard moment or watching my niece proudly show me something she’s learned, those moments of trust and connection mean the most to me.
