A little bit about me

Hi! My name is India, and I have been a nanny for almost 9 years, and I've loved every minute of it. I have worked with children of all ages, but most of my experience is with newborns-10 months. I've held all types of positions - live-in, live-out, mothers' helper, nanny share, overnight care, etc. so whatever kind of help you may need, I will be able to assist. I currently live in Warwick, RI but willing to travel up to 25 miles. My last nanny position ended November of 2020 due to COVID but I have done date-nights, transportation help, etc. I currently work from home full time, and I am mainly looking for a family that may need help with night time routines, or a very tired mama (and dad, of course) that would be interested in care during the last hours to catch up on rest. I've worked at childcare centers as a lead infant teacher, and became a nanny for multiple families (part time, full time, and occasionally).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Swimming, arts and crafts, watching movies, reading, walks/bike rides, roller blading, playing the clarinet, dancing, listening to music, nature adventures and many other things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Learning the families dynamic, between how they communicate, run their home and how they discipline the children. I will always observe and piggy back off what the families do.

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked with children who had autism, verbal and non-verbal. I've also worked with children who had cerebral palsy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I arrive to the families house in the morning and I am greeted by endless hugs, even from siblings who I do not care for during the day. It's a small, but loving moment seeing how excited they are to see Ms. India walking in the door. Knowing that once their parents leave, they are in great hands. I am sure it brings peace to the parents as well.
