Being a 21-year-old college student allows me to balance a structured, educational approach with the relatability and enthusiasm needed to keep kids genuinely engaged and active.

I am a big believer in the benefits of fresh air, so I love spending as much time outdoors as possible—whether that’s organizing nature scavenger hunts, visiting local parks, or leading active games that get kids moving. Drawing on my dance background, I enjoy teaching creative movement and hosting 'mini-performances' to keep things high-energy. I also love bringing arts and crafts outside for messy projects like sidewalk chalk murals or nature-inspired DIYs, ensuring every day is a mix of physical activity and imaginative play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a foundation of trust and safety so that a child feels free to be themselves. It’s about more than just supervision; it’s being a positive role model who can balance structure with genuine fun. Whether we are exploring outdoors or working on a creative project, my goal is to make sure they feel heard, supported, and encouraged to stay curious about the world around them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had the opportunity to work with children with a variety of needs in both classroom and group settings. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and following specific routines to ensure every child feels included and supported. While I have a foundational understanding of adaptive care, I am most effective in environments where I can focus on high-energy activities and creative play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was organizing an outdoor 'nature talent show' with the kids. After a morning of collecting leaves and sticks for 'props,' we spent the afternoon choreographing a little dance routine in the backyard. Seeing their faces light up with confidence as they performed what we’d practiced together was so rewarding. It perfectly captured everything I love about childcare, combining fresh air, movement, and the joy of seeing a child feel proud of their own creativity."
