A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Iola. I’m a rising junior at Johns Hopkins University, studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I’ve lived in Carlisle most of my life with my parents, older sister, and younger brother. I have worked various jobs from a restaurant server to icecream scooper, and am currently at an bioanalytical internship. However, none of these compare to my love for my previous job as a sleep-away summer camp counselor for the past three years. Living with them in cabins, teaching them swimming lessons taking them through their day, I worked as a caregiver for kids ages 6-16. Nothing has quite matched the impact of being in these children’s lives and getting to care for them. I was unable to return this year; however, I still love working and caring for kids, and I am well equipped with the skills for nannying/babysitting.
