More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked for several families over the last five years. Most recently, I have been working for the same family for just about three years. I started for them when their child was 8 months and it has been so special to watch him grow up and feel like I am a part of it. I have also worked in other various childcare settings. I was a camp counselor for many years, and I currently work with teens in inpatient psychiatric care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to spend time outdoors with kids of all ages, I think nature based play and fresh air is an integral part of growing up! I also really enjoy reading books and sensory based play inside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is being able to listen to and watch cues from the kids I work with. The work I do is for them and with them. I think I learn just as much from kids as they can learn from me, and I like to make sure they feel autonomous as much as they can. Kids first!
