I love doing arts and crafts (and am very capable of cleaning up the aftermath), as well as getting my butt handed to me in Mario Kart. Depends!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Filling in the gaps! I understand that parents can't be there 24/7 for their kids, and being able to provide structure and support for the kids and peace of mind for the parents is really meaningful to me. It won't always be sunshine and roses but being able to make a difference is always the goal.
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up with some learning disabilities like ADHD as well as having siblings with ASD. I'm a quick learner and patient, so if there are accommodations that need to be made for a kiddo, I'm sure I can handle it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Losing at Mario Kart. I think it also helped that I wasn't letting them win, I'm just genuinely terrible at Mario Kart.
