More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were through several roles that have given me both personal and professional childcare skills. I began babysitting in my hometown of El Paso, Texas, where for many years I cared for the children of family, friends, and coworkers, often through word-of-mouth recommendations. These experiences taught me reliability, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to each family’s unique needs.
Professionally, I have worked at a behavioral therapy center called Key 2 Me Therapy, where I supported children with social, emotional, and behavioral goals. I also gained valuable classroom and hands-on experience at The New School of Monmouth County, a Montessori school, where I assisted children of different ages and specialized in supporting autistic children and behavioral maintenance. These roles allowed me to combine compassion with structure, while encouraging creativity and independence in the children I cared for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in creative and educational activities that spark their imagination and curiosity, such as arts and crafts, storytelling, and hands-on science or learning projects. I also enjoy outdoor play like sports, games, nature walks, and obstacle courses, which help children stay active and healthy. Quiet activities like reading, puzzles, and mindfulness exercises are also part of my approach, giving children opportunities to relax and focus. Most importantly, I tailor activities to each child’s interests and energy, ensuring they are having fun, learning, and feeling supported at all times.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel valued and understood. It’s about more than just supervising—it’s about building trust, fostering confidence, and encouraging growth in every child. A great nanny listens, adapts to each child’s needs, and combines guidance with patience and creativity. I believe children thrive when they feel secure, engaged, and cared for, and providing that foundation is at the heart of everything I do as a caregiver.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children: I have extensive experience supporting children with diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. I worked for two years at The New School of Monmouth County, a school dedicated to children with learning disabilities, trauma histories, or behavioral challenges. There, I worked with many different children from various backgrounds, helping them develop skills, confidence, and independence through individualized support and structured activities.
In addition, I worked at Key 2 Me Therapy, a behavioral health center where I used play therapy and music to support children with communicative and social challenges. These experiences taught me patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt my approach to meet each child’s unique needs, ensuring they feel understood, safe, and encouraged to grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a caregiver was when I organized a mini “creative Olympics” for a group of children I was babysitting. I planned a mix of indoor and outdoor activities—including obstacle courses, art challenges, and a storytelling game—that allowed each child to showcase their strengths. One shy child, who usually hesitated to participate, surprised everyone by leading part of a team activity, and seeing their confidence grow in real time was incredibly rewarding. By the end of the day, the kids were laughing, proud of their accomplishments, and fully engaged in teamwork and creativity. Moments like this remind me why I love working with children: I get to help them explore, learn, and feel confident in themselves, all while keeping them safe and happy.
