More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a mentor for a young girl since she was 6 years old, and she is now turning 11 this May. Along with my familial and close family friend babysitting experiences, I have held a position at an established and well distinguished Academy in Louisville, KY as an Assistant Pre-School Teacher.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I believe children thrive best when they are actively engaged. For me this would include time each day spent outside to soak up natural Vitamin D. Depending upon the weather, house location, and parent approval, I would be comfortable taking children to age appropriate parks, museums, or neighborhood walks (taking Covid-19 precautions into consideration). Kids have a short attention span and often need outside stimulation to help them develop. I can arrange indoor activities related to learning (age appropriate as well) and can work with the circumstances the parent(s) are most comfortable with. Ultimately, the activities would also depend upon the child and how they either like or don't like an activity will determine the future activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is the child. While adhering to parents wishes and rules come first, the child's reactions are the ultimate evaluation. Every child is different meaning the approach needed for them as a Nanny should be unique.
My experience with special needs children...
I have little experience taking care of children with special needs. This upfront honesty shouldn't deter you away though! I'm always open to new learning experiences. I have an older cousin who is special needs and we always have a great time. I also had a classmate that I grew up with from 1st grade to my high school graduation who had autism. Jacob taught my small class of 90 students without us even knowing. Throughout all of these years we looked out for him like family and continue to do so after high school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My Pre-K class in 2018 included 20 children with one who was particularly the shyest. Tantrums happened frequently during the morning drop-offs. Over time that summer I was able to help her be comfortable enough to start warming up a bit after her parents left. Towards the end she would actually be excited to come into the classroom which felt like a huge success to me.

Hi! I’m Valeria, and I genuinely love helping families feel comfortable and taken care of, whether that’s through childcare, keeping a home clean, or caring for pets. I have over 9 years of hands-on experience with children, including routines, meals, playtime, and creating a safe, structured environment. I focus on building real connections with kids, making sure they feel heard, supported, and able to have fun while they grow.
I’m currently graduating from CU Denver, and I bring that same level of responsibility and professionalism into every home I’m in. I’m also very detail-oriented and enjoy keeping spaces clean, organized, and peaceful, taking pride in the little things that make a home feel put together.
I also love animals and have my own Frenchie, so I’m very familiar with daily pet care routines and happy to help there as well! 🤍
