More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I gained a lot of experience caring for the younger children in my dance studio growing up. Not just experience in basic child care, but also with bonding, realizing the responsibility and boundaries. I have also volunteered at multiple schools and I plan to travel to Tanzania, Africa to volunteer at an orphanage next summer.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to scope out the most enjoyable playgrounds or go on a fun hike. Picnics are also one of my favorite afternoon activities. I love arts and crafts, pool days, library trips, toy time and really anything the children want to do:)
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me, is making sure the children feel safe and heard. You have to form a bond and make sure the children know that they can come to you for anything, same way they would their parents. Young children already have a hard enough time being separated from their parents as it is. It can be confusing and frustrating. I remember my own nanny experiences as a child and the last woman my mom hired for me at 6 years old is the same woman I call my older sister at 20 years old. She taught me what it means to care for a child like it’s your own and I am so thankful for her and everything she’s taught me.
