I was a swim instructor for 3 years for a summer program done at my high school. I taught ages from 5 months to 13 years and up. I made sure at every stage the child I was working with was able to safely navigate the water and have a fun time doing it.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking the children I'm watching outside to play and run. I love being outside so I try to spend a lot of time outside with the kids as well. I also love to have them help me in the kitchen, it is such a fun activity to do with most ages. I am a very energetic person so I tend to be able to keep up with the kids.
My experience with special needs children...
I have watched two little boys with special needs. Both of them had autism and needed special care and it was an amazing learning experience for me. Both experiences were so positive and made me become such a better nanny. I was able to adjust myself to their needs and become really close to both of their families
