A little bit about me

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, my hometown in Brazil is where I first discovered my love and passion for working with kids. Since 2002, I have been volunteering with children susceptible to inequity, crime and poverty.

Upon moving to the US, I made the transition to working with kids full time serving children ages 1 to 4 in daycare centers.
Over the last three years I have been working as a nanny and full-time pandemic pod teacher, assisting 4 children.

It was an amazing journey with them, but unfortunately all childcare’s work comes to an end. I absolutely love the families I work with and I can provide excellent references.

I also served as teacher in a private sweet preschool in Oakland, working with a class of 3 and 4 years old during last school year.
I am also enrolled at Diablo Valley College where I am earning my degree in Early Childhood Education.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I recently worked as a preschool teacher with 3 and 4 yo. The ratio was 6 kids per teacher and our class had 12 sweet little ones and two teachers. I’m a big believer that learning comes through play, and so the school I worked.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Kids are sacred and being a nanny for me means be always alert, keep a positive attitude and keep in mind at all times that are little people watching me, so I must be a good role model! I like to create safe environments that foster learning, joy and play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My very favorite moment was while having lunch at a park. A cop arrived and my 4 year old friend notice the cop had some sort of weapon on his belt, he named as a gun (I honestly don’t remember if it was).
He then asked me: Ive, why that cop has a gun?
“Good question, maybe it is to protect us in case of a bad person appears and we need help” What do you think?
His answer will never leave my heart:
I think bad people should be thought not shot.
