I am very flexible and would like to say my strong point is special needs or have lots of disability experience from Daycare to The local DAC in Bemidji. I am a big push over and smaller petite woman so I am very well loved Naturally. I get a lot of compliments saying I’m a positive role model and can always make the best out of any situation. My license isn’t valid at the moment and working to make that not be a hindrance in my employment. I can always do a fill in also if you have a family emergency or just need a romantic dinner to enjoy. I am CPR certified and also certified to be an instructor myself. I am a very hands in and used to work as a teachers assistant at a head start and I am flexible with many ages!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a direct support professional at the DAC. I have watched my own families children and a few friends when they needed back up daycare. I get right down and dirty with kids as I feel they learn better that way and I am sorry to say I am very anti- electronic and hate tablets or tv.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Being flexible with what they want to do and being outside weather permitting. Bike rides, museum and state park is my favorite place. Discovering natural beauty around our beautiful area. I also like doing science and encourage reading. Music is a big motivator for me as it’s encouraged freedom of self expression. I have a wide range of hobbies and very open minded as I would learn from you also.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is at the end of the day you feel you have made them smile. A smile means the same as that heart felt connection.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a big heart and passion when it comes to our special needs children. I feel that whole phrase is just a label. We need to learn that everyone is kind and friendly with a splash of difference and unique flavor of jazz in them. We all in our own sense is special needs and just need to be more patient.
