Hi! I’m Ivy and I’m a 20 year old senior at Florida State University. I have been a nanny/babysitter for about 3+ years now for family, friends and others, and I love being able to help out families. As a nanny I usually help parents with light household chores, organize different arts and craft activities for the kids, cook and bake meals for the kids and sometimes parents too, and any other care activities such as driving the kids too and from camps or helping them with schoolwork! I’m a bubbly and energetic individual, and will make sure the kids I watch are never bored.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Nanny last summer in Wilmington, NC. I watched over 3 different families with 2-3 children each, ages ranging from 3-15. My responsibilities included: making the children breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner, helping with summer homework/reading assignments, driving the children to and from different camps and friends houses, organizing fun activities to do with the kids (baking, arts and craft, going to the movies, etc.), and light household chores.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts such as painting, drawing, tie dye shirts, etc. I also love to bake on my free time and love when the kids like to help me out and get involved. I make sure they do all the safe activities such as just mixing ingredients or putting the ingredients in a bowl. I also love playing games with the kids; so really any board game or something like hide and seek.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the children and safe and having a fun time when i’m looking after them. I know sometimes kids can be reluctant to be away from their parents for a long period of time, and making sure the kid is comfortable around me is really important. I never want a kid to be bored and feel like having a nanny/babysitter is a bad thing, so I’m always on a mission to do something memorable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my main families last summer loved my cooking and baking and almost always begged me to make something with them. The middle school aged daughter also loved baking and asked if we could make monkey bread one day. Monkey bread is almost like a cinnamon roll pull-apart bread and very easy and delicious to make. One day the daughter and I spent a chunk of the day gathering ingredients at the grocery store and baking the bread. We had so much fun being able to make it together, and her and her two brothers absolutely demolished the monkey bread almost as soon as it was done baking. It was very delicious and the next day after the first batch was gone, the kids asked if we can make another!
