My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working closely with a child on the autism spectrum, which has helped me develop strong patience, understanding, and adaptability. I take time to truly listen and understand what he’s trying to communicate, encouraging small words and actions while supporting his development at his own pace. I’m mindful of sensory sensitivities and do my best to prevent or gently manage overstimulation. This experience has strengthened my compassion and ability to provide attentive, individualized care to every child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is hearing a child giggle or seeing them smile because of something I did. I love knowing that I create a safe, happy space where children feel comfortable enough to laugh, be themselves, and even ask for hugs. Seeing a child light up around me means everything, because it shows they feel secure and cared for. I’m naturally a very positive and smiley person, so being able to share that energy and make a meaningful impact in a child’s day is truly the most rewarding part for me.
