I have done volunteer work when my kids were younger and catholic charities in Venice FL for when their wasn't any daycare. I have watched friends children and once the word was out I began watching other people's children as well family members as well

Taking them to the park to the fountain's after the park and going to get lunch or ice cream taking walks while they ride their bikes doing side walk chalk.. building fort's baking cookies playing board games anything that they wanna do the more you let them think it's their idea the more they wanna do it and it's enjoyable to see them happy and thriving
My experience with special needs children...
My experience working with special needs children comes from my two children of my own who have autism and ADHD as well as my daughter who is schizophrenic and my nephews and nieces also have autism and ADHD as well so I come from that background I'm patient and willing to take my time when it comes to children with special needs let alone any child it gives me Joy in life to be able to help, and see them through with things that may be hard for others to do. Because at the end of the day you have to have patience when it comes to these type of children nothing can ever be rushed because that's not their language and they don't speak that language and I believe sign language is another way of breaking barriers to help children communicate it worked with mine and I believe that it could work with anyone as long as you have the time and the patience to be able to do it
