More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked as a registered behavior technician full-time. Before that, I was a summer camp counselor. Outside of paid work, I volunteer with children at local theatre communities, having recently completed my work at the Red Phoenix performing arts academy.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My activists are all client-led; that is, I let children have first choice in whatever it is they want to do. Of course, there will always be learning opportunities contrived, and I always redirect potentially dangerous activities to similar, safer alternatives.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I will never, EVER place a demand on children without providing the reasoning. They deserve to know exactly why they must help clean their room, or how to appropriately ask for assistance. Furthermore, I will forever practice reinforcement over punishment — there will be proper praise and attention when a child is performing the correct way. This tends to be their strongest reinforcer. Instead of punishing the child, why not explain the “why” and follow through with the demand? It lets the child know that no, I will not tolerate non-compliance, but that I will never resort to violence, neglect, or anything even close to negativity in order to reach compliance.
My experience with special needs children...
I mainly have worked with children diagnosed with Autism, but I am absolutely open to learning about how you specifically care for your child!
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s hard to pick one moment, but I never forget a moment when a child realizes that they performed a task or activity previously deemed impossible for them. Teaching children about gaining control over their own physical and emotional well-being works wonders for their self-esteem and confidence, and I have seen how it helps them perform in the future.

I'm an outgoing, family-oriented girl who just loves people — especially kids and animals. I don't have kids of my own yet, but I'm the youngest in my family so I've always treated little ones like my own little siblings.
> At home it's just me and my cat Riley, and he truly is such a sweetheart. My faith is important to me, I read my Bible, and I try to lead with kindness.
> In my free time you'll find me painting, playing games, or in the kitchen — cooking is fun, but baking is my favorite. I actually work at a bagel cafe too, so yes, I'm a certified bagel lover. They're the best.
