I have cared for a toddler with downsyndrom, and a teen. I also assisted an art teacher when I was in school with teaching the special needs children, due to the large size of the classroom, and my good skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was granted permission for the best field trip to take them on, the movies, with their pick. We had the whole theater to ourselves, and I let them pick their sets. They picked right in the middle, a couple rows from each other. Not even 20 minutes in they switched seats to next to each other, and it was the best, the pure joy.
