Working in pediatrics I care for a large range of children every day! My responsibilities include creating bonds, assuring health is priority, and comforting each child for a better experience. As a teacher, I found my students felt like family, I would see them 8 hours a day growing up right before my eyes. Every step of the way I was there to guide them during their school day, whether that be prepping meals, tutoring, diaper changes, comforting, getting active, or just being a trusted adult.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have found my older kids love playing “Sharks and Minos” outside, just a fancy words for tag lol. I find the most joy in STEM related tasks. Doing Egg drops to engage engineering skills, or geometric shapes with marshmallows and pretzels for mathematics, treasure hunts to encourage exploration, anything that makes their eyes light up and gears turn is most gratifying to me.

Creating a bond full of trust between not only me and the child but the family allowing such intimate access to their lives. I do not take this honor lightly and ensure the utmost safety and love to be given for all parties involved.
My experience with special needs children...
Working in pediatrics I have had the pleasure to work with some amazing special needs children. I have worked with children with down syndrome, ADHD, anxiety, autism, cerebral palsy, you name it. I have taken special education courses as part of my AA degree. I can assure your child’s safety and understanding in my hands
The most important part about being a nanny...
I took my stepsister outside to teacher her volleyball, and she absolutely loved it. My favorite thing was watching her get so eager to play again.
