A little bit about me

Hello! My name Jaila and I am 21 years old! I have been caring for children since Middle school with babysitting and summer nanny jobs, children were ages 9 months - 10 years. After high school I began working In a daycare caring for children 3 months- 5+ years. After that I transitioned to nannying where I have been primarily caring for infants 6 weeks-9 months! I am in college part-time (all online) for child development and early education. I have experience following schedules, bottle feeding, meal prep, diaper changes, nap, etc. I truly enjoy every aspect of working with children, I strive to be an intentional, engaging caregiver everyday! I enjoy creating developmentally appropriate activities, making crafts, and going on walks with children. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started nannying a baby boy when he was 6 weeks old, he is now almost 9 months! I also nanny a 6 month old boy that I started watching when he was 3 months. Our day to day looks like bottle feedings, and recently solid(ish) food, diaper changes, and naps! During free time we practice sitting, rolling, fine and large motor skills, make crafts, go on walks, etc! Before nannying I worked in a daycare for 1.5 years, I worked with children ages 3 months - 5 years. I followed schedules for different age groups, worked on reaching development milestones like talking, sitting, crawling, walking, potty training etc. I also made all of the meals for the children where I had to follow a meal plan and plan around allergies.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love listening to music and having dance parties with children. Reading books, going on walks, and making crafts are my favorite things to do with children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Communicating with parents is an important part for me. Being on the same page with daily expectations, schedule changes, and expectations of care is so important to make sure things are consistent for the children!
