She’d carefully craft the day and kept the little one engaged throughout; playing with her, reading, drawing. When my son came home from school, she’d have his lunch ready and made sure his homework was done before I got home from work. She was a huge help for me in that time, as I was transitioning from one work position to the other. I knew my children were fine when I was away, and she readily gave me multiple updates throughout the day and answered any of my concerns if I had any (not many!) The time she was employed in my household really benefitted my children as the one transitioned into a school setting and my son into grade school.
