More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have helped raise 5 boys and 1 girl from ages newborn to 19. It has been a wild ride and a true thrill to these watch children and (actually all) children grow up and I will always have emotional bonds with them from now on. I still stay connected with them all to hangout and see how school is going. I gotta say I am never disappointed by what they tell me. I am so proud that I could help them grow up beautifully and happily too :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Helping with school projects, word games example: Scrabble, Uno, card games and puzzles. I also enjoy watching them play at the park using their imaginations nearly to the fullest degrees. I love arts and crafts, dress up and strategy games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part is to be yourself. I know that's been said over relationships, work situations etc but I know it to be true. A child needs to know the real you inorder to let you into their hearts and that's the place you should be seeking out.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with an Autistic child. He was polite, fun, easy to care for, adorable and always willing to learn. If anything, I had forgotten he was special needs because he was so happy, energetic, positive, funny, and creative just like any other child I have had experiences with. Truthfully if his parent had not told me of his condition I would never have known.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Th truly unforgettable moments are when a baby whatever age recognizes you when you come through a door as a greeting and smiles wide and starts to giggle happily. Like actually sees you and is so overjoyed. Not recognizing that you are having a bad day or your clothing is dirty and sweaty from work, or you had just been crying beyond the door over struggles. He/She truly takes you all in and it's your absolute number 1 fan instantly. Just gleaming up at you as if you're the most joyous event in their lives. It has happened to me a fair amount of times and those are simply unforgettable moments.
