The most important job about being a nanny is providing them with the basic needs and skills. To love and encourage them when they’re upset or sad/ missing a parent. Being there for them for the outcome not the income!!
My experience with special needs children...
I have different experiences with special needs children, I’ve volunteered at my Highschool, Riverdale Ridge ( based in Colorado ) with the special needs teacher to help entertain the children. I work at kindercare and there are children there with special needs, so I am always surrounded by them. My cousin is also a special needs child!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Have a heart to heart with the children during nap time. Hugging and holding them when they need it the most!!

I worked with families from new borns up to age 6 in this program. I also experienced a year of working with children with special needs that included Autism and Down Syndrome during Covid.
My experience is vast and is deeply rooted in understanding and meeting children where they are at. I work with the family unit as well to help foster the best environment.
