I encourage having fun while learning, being a kid myself and using my imagination to play along.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping children safe and healthy means making sure they have proper, consistent and stimulating care. The most important part about being a nanny is you are responsible to ensure the child’s safety and well-being. As a Nanny we play a big role in the child’s development and growth. For me, that means even the small interactions matter; early child years set the foundation for life. Outstanding communication
skills , decision making skills, patience, interpersonal skills and even physical stamina are extremely important to have when working in child care.The capacity learn different things change throughout each stage of childhood. It is important to be aware of how different each child can be, being highly observant and giving attentiveness can allow a Nanny to better aid in the safety and development of the child.

My experience with special needs children...

I only have a cousin who is severely autistic but I enjoy him nonetheless. It takes a lot more patience and time to understand and positively interact with him but its worth it in the end. He’s a great kid, always sharing, and very creative.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I helped take the twins I was working with last to see the snow for the first time and they were in such awe! But they wouldn’t stop eating the snow, I had to give a whole lesson on how you can get sick from eating dirty snow! Then they playfully made fun of each other for eating the snow in the first place! It was a wonderful trip where they learned about gold mining & they went sledding for the first time & had the time of their lives!
