Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I've had many babysitting jobs, worked at a school in there after care program for about three years, nannied for the last two years, volunteered at vbs for about ten summers, volunteered at other church events and in their nursery, and cared for my siblings and cousins regularly.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…I love showing kids cool things like science experiments, sensory toys, and sensory bins. I also love reading to/with them, showing them movies I love, and maybe up stories such as in imagination games. I love to take kids to play in water, go for walks, and get up close with nature. I enjoy puzzles and arts and crafts too!
The most important part about being a nanny…To me, the most important part about being a nanny is that I'm able to provide a situation where parents can make money and follow all their dreams while their kids can still get one on one attention from someone who can help them, encourage them, understand them, advocate for them, and love them.
My experience with special needs children…I
a few of my siblings are too, and I've cared for other kids with similar disabilities. So I have experience with that, and I'm willing and happy to learn about any other special needs children might have.
My favorite nanny moment…One of my favorite memories as a nanny is when the last baby I was caring for was sick. It was bittersweet, I hated that she was hurting, but I was so glad that I could be there for her. She was so exhausted, but every time she fell asleep and I tried to put her in her crib, she'd wake up crying. I ended up cuddling her on the couch for a while, and it seemed to help her feel better because she finally got some rest.
