I’ve done it all to say the least. I currently work part time as an afterschool teacher, helping children from pre-k to 12th grade continue to grow. I’ve worked with infants and toddlers throughout babysitting as a medical assistant as well as an older cousin. I’ve even worked with senior citizens as a caregiver.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Steam activities for rainy days such as math, english worksheets or brain board games. Build the tallest bridge out of supplies like cotton balls or popsicle sticks. Teaching kids old school games like double dutch or four square, or the simple hide and seek. Or just simple positive growing games like give a compliment ball pass.
The most important part about being a nanny...
seeing a child light up when you get there because of the bond being built. seeing the progression as the year continues to go. seeing their most proudest moments also being shared with you and that feeling like “wow you’re doing so good!” it takes patience and you must really have it in your heart.
