One of my favorite nanny moments was when I was helping a little girl I cared for learn how to write her name. We had been practicing for days, and one morning, she ran up to me with a big smile and proudly showed me her name written perfectly on a piece of paper. She gave me the biggest hug and said, “I did it because you believed in me!” It was such a small moment, but it reminded me how much impact love, patience, and encouragement can have on a child.
