My name is Jayda Cloughly. I am currently a student at the University of Nevada, Reno, completing my final semester of two bachelor’s degrees: Early Childhood Education and Human Development & Family Studies.

I am deeply passionate about education and childcare. I am fully certified in CPR/First Aid and have completed extensive training in early childhood development, bloodborne pathogens, and Shaken Baby Syndrome prevention.

I have worked professionally with children since 2022, in childcare. But also have built years of experience babysitting for family and friends since I was in high school. My academic background and professional experience have prepared me to provide high-quality care and form meaningful bonds with the children I work with. I truly believe working with children is the most rewarding career there is, and I would love the opportunity to support your family.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a part time worker at The Goddard School of Sparks from [phone number hidden] working with children ages newborn-5 1/2 years of age. I was there to give breaks to teachers, provide snack, lunches etc. and trained on all the requirements at an early childhood education center. I am well I am aware of cleanliness, cpr/ first aid etc. As well as working at the E.L. Cord Childcare Centers a Truckee Meadows Community College. From August 2023-December 2025, Which was the best I have ever been. I have learned so much on licensing requirements, what it takes to work with children and provide the best quality care for your kiddo.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing whatever the children are interested in. But I love a great themed activity and followed with curriculum. Since I am a student you might find me trying some activities in which I am learning in school, through dramatic play, process art (over product art), love STEM based activities. Can help with homework help and anything else the children love and need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is allowing yourself to jump right in and get to know the child. Keeping the child safe and healthy is my number one priority way before learning about their interests and needs (although this comes hand in hand). I always make sure that the child safety is in order and they are getting their required needs. Which is the biggest part of the nurturing that I will give your child. Once the main aspect of that is done. The fun can begin and I will do whatever it takes to ensure your child is getting the proper care through play, fun and loving atmosphere. I will treat them as if they are my own, and they will be filled with love and happiness.

My experience with special needs children...

Since I have mainly worked with younger children as a teacher we can not diagnose. But I have had some experience working in WCSD when I was student teaching when my degree was elementary education. I do feel I need more practice and would love the opportunity for you to support me and me to support you with your child. But I do not mind working with children with a disability and would love and treat them all equally.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say the most rewarding part is having a built in best friend. The main common job is to make that personal connection with you and your child to ensure they are getting the best possible care. Each child is incredibly unique and I love coming to work everyday and always learning from the children. They teach me so much. An example is when children describe something they are passionate about even at such small ages. When a child is curious and wonders the world it gives a great insight as to the innocence and live that we may need even as an adult. I may be there to teach and guide them but they do that for me just as much as I do for them.
