More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My fiancé has a now almost 3-year-old little sister and I have been helping raising her since she was two months old. I’ve also helped take care of kids anywhere from the ages newborn-13 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anywhere from outside to inside. For the younger kids, any kind of outdoor toys that suits their age and size, making sure they don’t get hurt. For inside any kind of toys; kitchen sets, cars, baby dolls, ect. For the older ones I myself am a little bit active so if they wanna play any kind of sport, I am very open to it. For inside any kind of board games, card games, video games, Barbie, ect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building a bond with not just a child but also the parents. Parents want to leave their kids with somebody they trust not a random stranger. I am a big believer in what the parents say goes. Meaning if a parent says bedtime is at 8:00, it’s at 8:00 not 8:10. If a parent says no sugar that means no sugar.

My experience with special needs children...

I count this as an experience, but I’m not sure if it really counts because of how young I was but that when I was in elementary school, there was this special-needs kid, and I would help him with his work and miss a lot of of my own classes to help him. I did not mind it whatsoever. I would do the extra work. I would write down in highlighter on the paper what he was supposed to write, and he would go back and try to trace it in pencil, I would read to him, help him draw just basically spend time with him and help him throughout his day at school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My answer to this would probably be anytime with my fiancé’s little sister. She stole my heart since the day she was born. Mine and her bond is something that I’ve never had with a child before, and it means so much to me. I was taking care of her more than anybody else was so I kind of think of her a little bit like my kid even though she’s not. I have been there for every milestone with her. Her first laugh, cereal mixed in with her food, learning to walk, everything.
