Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working as a preschool teacher, volunteering as a youth leader at four different churches where I supervised young children during services and events, and serving as a Behavioral Specialist supporting children on the autism spectrum using ABA techniques. I have also volunteered at school and community events involving children and families. Additionally, as the second oldest of six siblings, I have years of personal childcare experience caring for my younger brothers from infancy through childhood.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with children include arts and crafts, reading stories, sensory play, outdoor games, music and movement activities, and educational games that make learning fun. I also enjoy helping children explore their creativity through imaginative play, building with blocks, and simple science or cooking activities.
I love creating a positive and engaging environment where children feel safe to ask questions, learn new skills, and express themselves. Watching them build confidence, solve problems, and celebrate their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of working with children.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel valued and cared for. A great nanny does more than supervise children. They build trust, encourage growth, support their individual needs, and create meaningful experiences that help children learn and develop. I believe patience, communication, reliability, and genuine care are essential to providing families with the peace of mind that their children are in good hands.
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered as a Behavioral Specialist with an agency that supported children on the autism spectrum, where I used Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to encourage positive behaviors, build communication skills, and support each child's individual needs.

One meaningful experience was working with children on the autism spectrum as a Behavioral Specialist. One of my favorite moments was seeing a child make progress on a skill they had been working on and watching their excitement when they accomplished something new. Those small victories reminded me how rewarding it is to be patient, encouraging, and present for children as they grow.
