More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Ive babysat and nannied since I was 15, im CPR Certified due to being a PCA (primary care assistant). I have experience with Special Needs children as I have an 8 year old brother that is. Ive volunteered in daycare at my church several times.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities i like doing are coloring, playing games they like to play, baking (supervised of course). Some outdoor activities are going for a nature walk (I give the kids a piece of paper and colors they want and they list down or draw everything they find pretty or interesting or just anything), I take them to nearby parks, sometimes if it's okay with the parents and they have a change of clothes I'll go and play in rain with them on a rainy day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part, is making that kids like that your babysitting feel loved, cared for, and listened to, not all kids express how they feel in the same way, but how you decipher what they need and how you help them and care for them matters the most. To see a kid smile big just because they feel understood is my favorite part and the most important part of being a nanny. Making the kids happy and having fun with them is the most important part. I could care less about the money I get from doing it. All I care about is the kids im caring for.
My experience with special needs children...
Ive cared for children with special needs of all kind, my little brother is autistic as ive said before, I also used to volunteer to help the special needs kids while in school, my main girl has down syndrome, she was the sweetest person I've ever met.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I know this may sound unsanitary, but when I was babysitting a kid in the past I would take them to my park I had in the neighborhood and one night the frogs were really going off outside and my boy really liked frogs but it was getting dark, so of course I asked the parents before I brought them out to play in the dark, but we had a blast catching those frogs! There were sooo many of them that you didn't know where to go to catch them. I love the little exciting adventures I go on with some of the kids. They love it too!
