More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Currently as a preschool teacher and also a dance instructor. Previously I’ve nannied for a few families before moving to Georgia from California.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love and always encourage every child I’m looking after to be active and have their minds engaged in things from dance, arts and crafts, or even having them do fun science experiments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is getting to know each child individually because no child is the same. By building a special bond with each person, including with the parents it helps to create a safe and trusting environment. As the children are growing core memories are building too. The lessons they learn and activities they do as children typically shape the people they grow up to be. A lot of what they experience can really change their lives. So I strive to make sure their experience is a good one so it can really make a difference for their future.

My experience with special needs children...

My first experience came a few years ago when I taught in home dance lesson during Covid. One of my client’s daughters has some mental delays and is unable to do a lot of things but she loved to move rather it was dance basketball, or pretty much anything. As we got to spend more and more time together her mother eventually hired me as a care provider for her and I began babysitting for her for about a year or two. After moving to Georgia I then began my journey as a preschool teacher. At this school we believe in teaching those with special needs and those without together. So I’ve grown a lot since beginning this job and have taking countless trainings and classes on looking after and teaching special needs children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There’s so many to choose from but one that always stands out would have to be the moment when I nannied for a family of 3 and the children asked if we could make a Mother’s Day present together. We ended up making this amazingly sweet dance/singing video that made their mother cry. It was such a heartfelt gesture from the children and I was so happy I was the one that got to help make it happen.
