Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I currently work as a certified child behavioral therapist. This includes working directly with autistic children to help them identify and address problematic behaviors, so they can integrate into society better.
I have worked at The Arc. The Arc is a day program for children and adults with disabilities. As an employee I was responsible for activities of their daily lives some of those include, doctors appointments, therapy appointments, activities like biking, and bathroom and shower needs.
I have worked at a mental health center as a case manager. Being a case manager consisted of transportation needs, home visits, therapy sessions, lesson planning for the children, group outings, and being a mentor for those less fortunate.

I enjoy keeping children busy and entertained. I like to take children on walks, bike rides, the park, playing games; really anything the child enjoys I will do !
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are taken care of the entire time. Putting there needs first above anything else. Pairing with the children to create a bond that involves trust. Being comfortable with the parents so the child or children can have the best experience possible.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with many different kids with special needs ranging from Autism, Down syndrome, and Cerebral palsy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be when I had surgery and was unable to nanny for 2 months. When I came back the 3 year old was so excited she ran over jumped on my and started crying because she was “so excited” to see me. I like to form a close bond with children so they feel comfortable around me and enjoy our time together.
