I think presenting yourself in a way that is authentic, truthful, and admirable is crucial because the children are going to pick up on all of the subtle things you do and say.

I have worked with special needs children in and out of the classroom. The needs varied from autism to down syndrome to ADD. Every situation was cared for differently based off several factors, such as depth of need, age, and uniqueness of the child.
