More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of hands-on nanny experience. I cared for a little girl from the age of 10 months to 4 years, supporting her daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap schedules, early learning, creative play, and outdoor activities. I also provided care for two young boys, balancing meals, homework, active play, and bedtime routines while ensuring a safe and fun environment. These roles required organization, patience, and strong communication with parents to keep schedules smooth and consistent. My experience has taught me how to nurture children of different ages, encourage development, and create a warm, trusting atmosphere for families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating fun, meaningful moments with children of all ages. With little ones, I enjoy arts and crafts, music, and playful activities that spark curiosity while gently introducing learning. I believe in being spontaneous while still providing structure and balance. With older kids, I like incorporating music into learning, shooting hoops, playing basketball and other sports, or just sitting down to talk and connect. I enjoy encouraging their interests, building confidence, and helping them express themselves. Whether we’re exploring, reading, playing, or working on skills, my goal is always to keep kids safe, engaged, and happy while supporting their growth in a way that feels natural and fun for them and stress-free for parents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel cared for, respected, and encouraged to grow. It’s about being reliable and responsible, understanding each child’s unique needs, and building trust not only with the children but also with the parents. A great nanny balances fun and learning, models positive behavior, and provides consistent guidance so children can thrive both emotionally and developmentally.
My experience with special needs children...
While I don’t have extensive experience with special-needs children, I do have meaningful exposure that shaped how I care for and communicate with kids who need extra support. In my senior year of high school, I used a free block to work as a study skills assistant, helping our special education teacher support students throughout the day. My role included walking with them around the school to assist with the recycling program, practicing communication and social skills, encouraging speech, and helping them feel confident and included in daily activities. This experience taught me patience, empathy, and how to adapt to each child’s individual needs. It gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of kindness, structure, and encouragement, and I carry those lessons into every childcare role I take on today.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are the little, sweet ones, the quiet realizations that what I do truly matters. There’s something so special about knowing I’ve helped take stress off of parents’ shoulders, even in small ways, so they can breathe a little easier. And when I see the children begin to treat me like I’m part of the family when they light up when I walk in or want to share their day with me, it warms my heart. It’s in those moments I feel so grateful to do what I do, knowing I’m making a positive difference in both the kids’ and parents’ lives.
