A little bit about me

Lots of experience with children from 0-10 years of age; worked as a lead teacher for Sunrise Preschool in Glendale, AZ for 3+ years. Initially started in the young 3 year olds class for the first year approximately and finished as the mid three-year olds to young 4 year olds for the last 2.25 years.

Went to Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Scottsdale a few years ago to simply learn how to cook and am well versed in all kinds of cuisine but my speciality is French cuisine. Absolutely willing to prepare meals, do light housework, and work whatever hours are best for you and your family.

I am open to “live-in” nanny work, but I do have an elderly dog. She’s a long haired chihuahua named Andromeda. She is very sweet and gentle but a bit skittish at first when meeting new people the first couple of times. But after she feels more comfortable, she is so cuddly and affectionate! And she has the softest fur in the world!

I drive and have a car but it’s a beater admittedly 😅

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Preschool teacher for 3+ years, big sister for 21 years (I was 17 when she was born, so I was heavily involved in caring for her, ESPECIALLY for the first 6 years of her life), auntie to 15 nieces and nephews (beginning in 2006), etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

-Going to the park, museums, & “field trip” outings like the ice skating rink, restaurant & movies, bookstores, etc. (depending on age)
-Exploring nature on walks, bike rides, & hikes
-Arts & Crafts
-Singing songs
-Learning phonics & how to read as well as simply reading to children (I do voices, lol)
-Tutoring & helping with homework (as long as it’s not common core! 🥴)

Quite a bit of experience with children on the autism spectrum (ranging from Asperger’s to nonverbal autism), mostly with preschool or elementary school aged children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It was when I was a preschool teacher, but I was not aware that a student’s parents were watching from one of the classroom windows, but during recess, the student in question, a little boy who was having trouble adjusting to being in preschool, was out on the playground with his classmates when my students and I came out for recess. I saw him and hollered “Hi, Connor!” and he ran all the way to me from the other side of the playground and I picked him up and twirled him around while we both laughed and had the biggest smiles, and his parents came running out SO happy that he was being loved and looked after. It was a fantastic experience. ❤️
