Hi! I’m Jenna, an experienced educator who genuinely loves working with children. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and years of experience with children ages 2 through elementary school.

My background includes preschool teaching, elementary classroom support, substitute teaching, and reading and math instruction. I also spent several years as a Girl Scout co-leader, planning hands-on activities, STEM projects, educational outings, and curriculum for children ages 5–8.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have extensive experience caring for and working with children ages 2 through elementary school. I worked as a preschool teacher for several years, supporting children's learning, development, and daily routines. I also worked as an elementary teaching assistant and noon-duty supervisor, providing academic support and supervising students. In addition, I was a Girl Scout troop co-leader for children ages 5–8, planning and leading educational activities, STEM projects, outings, and hands-on experiences.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting kids outside to explore, play, and stay active! I enjoy nature walks, playground time, outdoor games, camping, and hands-on nature and STEM activities. I’m always happy to follow a child’s interests and turn outdoor time into an opportunity for fun and discovery.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with the children while providing a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment. Children thrive when they feel known, supported, and valued. I want the children I care for to feel comfortable being themselves, while also encouraging their curiosity, independence, confidence, and love of learning. I also believe it’s important to build a strong partnership with parents so that everyone is working together to support the children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience supporting children with autism and other individual learning and behavioral needs in both preschool and Girl Scout settings. I have worked closely with one-on-one aides and families to implement individualized strategies, including visual supports, structured routines, and behavior plans. I’m comfortable adapting activities and communication to help children feel successful, included, and supported. I also have personal experience navigating ADHD within my family, which has given me additional understanding of the importance of patience, consistency, flexibility, and individualized support.
