More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a nanny to two sweet boys, ages 3 and 6, for over a year! Then I watched two kiddos (boy and girl) ages 2 and 4 about a year ago. Last summer, I watched countless kiddos in my neighborhood all summer (ages 1-7)! I've also done more casual babysitting jobs for as long as I can remember! Last year I did some volunteer work supervising a large group of 2-3yr olds as well! For my last year of college, I was a nanny for a sweet family of 3. I transported their 4 year old boy from school, engaged in fun activities, did snack time, and cared for him until mom and dad were done with work!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be outside and believe it's really important for all kids! Besides outdoor activities, I love to color, play board games, read books, do arts and crafts, play in a pool (if you have one)...the list goes on!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My #1 priority is ALWAYS safety. With any childcare job, it's your responsibility to ensure that the child remains safe for the entirety of your time together. After prioritizing safety, I would say that building trust with the kids is so important and cultivating a great relationship with them. It's important that they're comfortable with me so we can have fun and maintain those safety rules as well!
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have experience nannying special needs kiddos but have had a lot of exposure to their needs/care as my mom worked with them for about 26 years! I'm very adaptable and more than willing to watch ALL kids!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment to date is about 2 years ago with my sweet Luke, who's three years old. He gave me a flower for my birthday and said he loved me so so much. My heart melted. I can think of so many sweet memories! I'd also add that any time I'm with a kiddo for a decent period of time and they learn something new while I'm with them, it makes me the happiest! My goal is always to help the child grow, have fun, be happy, and ultimately cultivate a strong friendship with them!
