Hi there!

I'm an 20-year-old who has been babysitting since I was 13, and I absolutely love working with children. I have a lot of experience with kids of all ages! I worked at a daycare for two years before becoming a Behavior Technician at an autism center. I have worked at the center for over 2 years where I teach daily living skills, assist in academic teaching, run group activities, and implement ABA therapy programs and techniques. I am also in a social work undergraduate program. I am a big sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters where I play games, do crafts, and engage weekly with my little.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working at an autism center, in a daycare setting, and as a babysitter have been among the most meaningful experiences in my life. Through these roles, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of various ages, backgrounds, abilities, and personalities, and each child has taught me something valuable.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

- Arts and crafts: I love coming up with fun and creative projects that allow children to express themselves and explore different materials.
- Board games: I enjoy playing games that are age-appropriate and that encourage children to think critically, strategize, and have fun.
- Reading and storytelling: I believe that reading is one of the best ways to expand children's minds and imaginations, and I enjoy sharing stories with them and asking questions to spark their curiosity.
-Imaginative play: My favorite activity is to engage in imaginary play with or without toys!

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. This means being patient, kind, and attentive to the needs of each child.
In order to be a successful nanny, it is important to have strong communication skills, both with children and with parents. I strive to listen carefully to what children are saying and respond in a supportive and encouraging way. I put a strong emphasis on working closely with parents to ensure that their children's needs are being met, and that they are comfortable with the care that is being provided.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been fortunate enough to have many opportunities to work with special needs children throughout my life. I have worked with kids, teens, and young adults with a range of different disabilities as a behavior technician. I have experience assisting with dressing, toileting, de-escalating high emotions, teaching functional communication, potty training, teaching coping skills, and adapting activities to a child’s abilities.
