"Jennie is a true professional. She's amazing at building relationships with kids and understanding their unique needs. She came to work with us at a difficult time for our family and was always so attentive to the kids unique emotional needs and how to support them. She also had a lot of fun with them and engaged in the activities they each enjoyed. For me, Jennie was a lifesaver. She helped get my house in order, helping both in the areas I identified needing help and proactively in those I didn't identify but she observed needed support. She was extremely flexible with my somewhat chaotic schedule and always dependable. That last point is most important for me when my life is chaos and the kids are depending on someone being there, Jennie was consistent in showing up and being there for the kids. I'd highly recommend Jennie and I'm happy to speak with anyone as a reference for her."

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is being all in. You must actually love kids and enjoy serving. Everything else you do flows from that.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for a little one with a genetic disorder causing neurological issues, significant developmental delays, seizures and gastrointestinal issues.
The most important part about being a nanny...
LOL. I was caring for the Booms' eldest son and his mom's best friend's son one afternoon. They were both about 2 years old at the time. We were climbing the stairs to reach the changing table for a diaper change. They were both in front of me so I could keep an eye on them as we went. As we climbed, the Booms' son, Thomas, passed gas. Both boys stopped, looked at each other, and cracked up laughing. At that moment, they both seemed to pass from babyhood to being little boys. Seems odd to say about passing gas, but it was not only a very funny moment, but it was also quite poignant.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Austin, TX: Lawren J.
I'm 22 years old. I've been caring for children in my family since I was 11, as that is the age I became an aunt. I would help my mom with nap time and changing diapers whenever we babysat, and I loved interacting with him. I started receiving payment summer of 2023 when I would babysit my 8-month-old nephew during the week while my sister was working. He is now 3 years old, and my first nephew is now 16. We still look after them from time to time, mainly the little one, and we love doing educational activities while watching his favorite show: Bluey!
