Work with children with autism-both verbal and non verbal, adhd, familiar with many developmental and physical delays. Worked in care coordination for medically fragile children and adults, assisting with getting special services. Very familiar with medical, physical, emotional, and developmental delays, disabilities, vernacular, and individualized medical needs. Also have 10 years of Sunday School teaching, including curriculum building for children’s department at church. Worked directly with infant through 6th grade. Full time nannying experience with several families throughout last 25 years. Have been infant/child/adult CPR/first aid for cert (willing to re-cert). Fully vaccinated and clean background check. Willing to do light housekeeping, house management. Nutritionally focused with meal preparation for children and family. Ft cook experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking children on outings to the park, to educational/recreational events both indoor and outdoor. Community programs such as dance, karate, and arts. Enjoy going to museums and local educational facilities. Love to be active with kids. Enjoy playing board games. I enjoy making learning fun for kids doing hands on tutoring, specializing in alternative learning methods. As a former cook I also enjoy making fun recipes with children to help them enjoy healthy foods that they make. I have a certified service and therapy dog that I have brought to many family homes that has worked with the children, and even assisted with PT for handicapped. I believe in limited screen time with age appropriate content-including positive educational games, programs, videos, and homework help. The most important part about being a nanny...

Putting toddler/preschool aged autistic child to bed by reading the books I gave him as I let him play with my hair and cuddle as a comfort for falling asleep. (A child that struggles with touch, sensation, behavior, and emotional connection).
