I have worked with children in various capacities for over 30 years. I have been a babysitter, nanny, I owned an in-home daycare, have worked in daycare centers, worked with teenagers as a coordinator for an foreign exchange program, have taught preschool, and for the last ten years have been a public school teacher.
Children are such a gift to this world and to my life. I believe they are to be listened to, respected, and guided in the way they respond best to. Every child is different and there is no “cookie cutter” way to teach and interact with them. I pride myself on building relationships with every child in my care and have been successful in having a hand in watching them accomplish so much knowing I am there through it all.
