A little bit about me

I’m a 52yo mother of 5 & a proud grandmother of 2. My children are 31, 29, 27, and 20yo (twins). My youngest has special needs, so I have extensive experience with children who require extra care and attention. I’m compassionate, patient, and deeply understanding.
Before having my own children, I worked in a preschool, where I nurtured my love for working with kids. I enjoy arts & crafts, reading, storytelling, and involving children in baking or cooking activities. I’m also a big animal lover and am happy to walk your dogs.

I will gladly help with housework, meal preparation, and any other tasks that make life easier for your family. I have open availability, can work on short notice, and am open to both long-term and temporary roles.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny for a 5 month old boy from September to November. Grandma came to stay so I was no longer needed. He was 7 months old when I left. That family became my family. They found me on this site and are more than happy to give a reference.

I watched 2 kids occasionally. They're 5 and 8.. They're a great family. Mom knows I'm looking for a steady job, like a 9-5. Doesn't have to be 9-5, just using an example. I'm available 7 days a week any hours.

I worked for a family short term. From Feb 2022-July 1st 2022. Mom WFH and dad was a teacher so when school let out for the summer, my job ended.

I worked for a family from July 2022-March 1st 2023. They put their son into a daycare provided by moms job when she returned to the office FT. While I was their nanny she worked from home.

During my Jr and Sr yrs of HS I took child development. My Sr year I was a teacher in the preschool for 4 hours a day.

I was a stay at home mom to my 5 children. Which include girl/boy twins.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, coloring, teaching them their ABCs and 123s. Cooking, baking cookies, etc
(age appropriate) going for long walks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Teaching children, watching them grow and learn. Knowing that a family has put their trust in me to keep their child safe. It's an honor, and one I take very seriously. I always treat the kids I've nannied as if they were my own.

My experience with special needs children...

My 20yo son has SPD(Sensory Processing Disorder), ADHD, OCD, PDD-NOS(pervasive developmental disorder, not otherwise specified)

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the baby boy I used to watch would wake up(if he was asleep when I got there) I already had our good morning song ready on YouTube (i didn't show him the videos, we just listened to the music) the look on his face when he saw me in the morning and heard our favorite song. It's one of my absolute favorite moments with him.

Also, my last family, their 15 mos old son would crawl around in excitement every time he saw me arrive every morning. He was the sweetest and happiest boy! He would just say "you, you". Made me smile 😊
